I'd like to keep this review short and sweet due to the fact that it's what I like to call a “by the book” remake. This film followed just about every major scene in the original movie while throwing in some new-age fixes.
The acting was really well done, but I didn't expect less from the star studded cast. I enjoyed the curve balls that the generation added to the story, and still found myself as uncomfortable as I was seeing the original for the first time.
Any fan of this story should give this a chance. I wouldn't get your expectations through the roof, but it will not be a waste of your time.
